Case Study #4

photo credit: Lisa Patterson, H4A and Useful Waste Initiative.

Background

More than an apartment building, this 172 unit complex in Old Town Beaverton offers large outdoor spaces. The success with the project mock-up came from the immediate excitement of the Developer.

Key Takeaways

Developer Buy-in: The developer was a key advocate. From the onset, they were invested in the program because it aligned with their company goals. This buy-in lead the contractor to donate a fully built out mock-up and donate 2 additional purpose built pods for Hygiene4All.

Conversion Build: Both Rembold and Pence Construction donated time and materials to finish the conversion quickly - within a weekend - to get the pods functioning and in use.
